The KQ society

The KomponistenQuartier Hamburg was founded as an information centre for composers with links to Hamburg; it is a non-profit association funded almost entirely by donations, whose purpose and aim is to promote scholarship, education, art and culture. Its activities include concerts, lectures, academic collaborations and the dissemination of knowledge about music, its contemporary relevance and its history.

The location of the museums on Peterstraße is made possible by the Carl Toepfer Foundation as the main sponsor of the KQ.
